Bats are cute and, for many, a wee bit (okay, a lot) creepy, making them essential for our countdown to Halloween! In reality, of course, bats are necessary to nature’s balance, consuming billions of costly farm and forest pests, pollinating flowers, and carrying seeds to new locations.
The American Bats pane was issued in 2002 and consists of four different stamp designs featuring photographs of bats found in the continental United States: the red bat, the pallid bat, the spotted bat, and the leaf-nosed bat.
Already so excited for Halloween!
